The Creator of The Facebook Revised

Taken from Collider.com - Screen shot from movie
The movie The Social Network is about Mark Zuckerberg’s struggle between being a computer wiz and a giant a-- hole. Mark and his friend/ex best friend Eduardo go through a journey of the business world from two different sides. Mark is interested in expanding while Eduardo is interested in making money from the site they create.

I personally enjoyed the movie. The movie was about Mark Zuckerberg getting sued by his ex best friend. It’s nothing to laugh at, but the movie made me laugh a lot. I think it was the college setting and how occasionally the director would take me through various different situations. Some funny and others sad. I really enjoy movies where there are multiple characters and locations. It also had a great cast. Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Armie Hammer, and Justin Timberlake are all amazing actors. Jesse Eisen Berg did a fantastic job portraying Mark. To me he seemed to really let go while in character which made the movie feel more real.

When I first got a Facebook I was constantly on it. I can’t remember what age I got one, but I know I wasn’t 18. After watching the movie I understand more why the age to be on Facebook is 18. The site was originally released for college kids! Who knew? As I watched the movie I felt at home watching something related so closely to college life. Granted I’m not greek (in a sorority) so a lot of the fraternity stuff I couldn’t relate to, but neither was Mark! I also didn’t go through the selection process, but it was interesting to watch Mark “out of the loop”. In the movie Mark and his GF break up in the first scene which causes him to go home drunk and blog about his break up. In my experience nothing good comes from drunk blogging. While what he wrote was funny it was my first glimpse into how big of a jerk Mark could be. He even tries to apologize to Erica later on in the movie and she turns it down. The movie felt real to me.

All in all, the movie was put together well with an amazing cast.
